Beloselskikh - Belozerskykh Palace.


Beloselskikh- Belozerskikh Palace is an architectural monument of the 18-19th centuries. Before 1846 on its spot a small house was situated owed by a senator Myatlev (architect F.I. Demertsov). Later Myatlev’s house belonged to different people until it became Beloselskikh-Belozerskikh family’s possession. On their order the house was rebuilt into a palace of eclectic style with architectural forms of the 18th century Russian boroque. Architect - A.Shtakenshneider, Sculptor- I. Jeninsen. The Palace with its porticoes with columns and pediments is a unique belonging of the Nevsky Prospect. Sculptural ornaments and figures of atlases give the building a special palace splendor. The Palace houses luxuriously decorated concert hall where concerts of Russian and foreign music regularly are held. Also it gives vast opportunities for conferences, meetings, receptions, balls, etc.
